Beans and meatballs and vegetables in the crockpot were dinner on Saturday, and we had 3 servings leftover for later.

I don't know where you live, but here in the New York Metro area it is dark, gloomy and raining A LOT today. This sounds like a great lunch for a day like today.
Sounds really yummy. I never thought to put meatballs in stew but that is so much easier than browning up stew meat. Probably less expensive too.
I was sort of thinking of it more like a bean soup than a beef stew - I've had a few at au bon pain or bought Progresso soups with meatballs in them. And I've had plenty of bean soups, but possibly not the same ones. It's rainy here too - I'm in Boston.
