Today was lunch at home. Our neighbors sent us home with a pineapple, papaya, and coconut after the big Lost Premiere Bash they had on Tuesday. I adore fresh pineapple. So, of course, I made my meal around it today.

Grilled Pineapple and Cheese Sandwich
Crackers with Ranch Dip
Pudding Cup

A very yummy lunch if I say so myself.

My grandmother used to have all these three you've mentioned planted at her back yard. We get to eat pineapple straight from it's roots and papaya freshly picked from the tree. Then there's that long cononut tree I can't picture how the locals could easily climb and glide on those trees. The memory of eating slices of pineapple neatly prepared by granny is still fresh in my head. It was definitely juicy and deliciously sweet I would usually need napkins to wipe out my mouth because I am messy all the time after each bite. Yup it's that good! One thing though, I've never tried it grilled...

Wow. I would have NEVER thought of a grilled pineapple and cheese sandwich. What kind of cheese and bread did you use? Is the pineapple cubed or sliced thinly?
